Choosing the right riding level helps us match you with the program that’s best suited to your skills and ensures a safe, enjoyable experience. Here’s a quick guide to help you find your category.
Beginner
You have little or no riding experience. You are comfortable around horses and can ride at a walk, possibly trying a bit of trot. The focus is on balance, relaxation, and learning to communicate with your horse in nature.
Novice
You have some riding experience and feel comfortable at walk and trot, with basic control of the horse. You may have tried cantering in a controlled environment. The pace is still relaxed but includes longer rides and more varied terrain.
Intermediate
You are confident at walk, trot, and canter in open spaces. You can control your horse in a group and over different types of terrain. These rides include longer distances and may involve more challenging routes.
Advanced
You are an experienced rider, fully confident in all gaits and capable of handling varied terrain, longer days in the saddle, and a forward-going horse. The trails are more dynamic and physically demanding.
